Only within the last 10 days or so we started one insurance operations here in India. I don't know where is the next opportunity of come. It was almost five and-a-half years ago, I received a letter from Eitan Wertheimer of Iscar metalworking. I didn't know I wanted to get to that letter, it just came and we are ready to go.
The same will happen in India; I hear of jemandem-- I meet a lot of people in the next few days and maybe the next week or a year from now, can you contact me to the people and that is the way.
Are you sure that you will make an investment in India in this fiscal year?
Our checks were clear, I can give you the promise.
Recently, do you have an investment in BYD, is the new, clean technologies and electric vehicles. How do you see this change the step towards more technology and clean energy?
Fortunately, I have a partner, which is much smarter than I am. My partner Charlie Munger, the 87 and still is, understands many of the aspects of the technology. So, BYD was his idea, and I never got an error after Charlie.
I'm not good on tech issues, but I have a lot of people who are. I have not all are smart; I deliver baby not my wife! Therefore, I believe in dealing with people who are to find the number that are smarter than I am and it is not very difficult and certainly in the tech field. I have only this ability, but I'm pretty good at spotting the individuals who have this ability. We do not want to do anything that slows down the enthusiasm, the innovative power of the people who work with us and we get the best people, and if the best people get and let you go, you get the best result.
What convinced you India now enter?
I have some pretty convincing Associates, including Eitan Wertheimer Iscar metalworking and Ajit Jain. Bill Gates to came and said that he would like to meet me here. But the reason why I here is due to the TaeguTec [part of Iscar metalworking].
There are other fields that are demanding, interesting. Metal why?
I did not know him or about this company but I realized it in the autumn of 2005, by Eitan I received a letter, in this page and a-half, I heard of an extraordinary person about an exceptional company. It does not mean that I nothing about metalworking knew me. I invited Eitan and his team come over and she tried to educate me. She made great progress; You progress even more with my partner of Munger, takes things up better than I.
It is a very important business. All we would do in life as efficient or effective, be performed with companies such as TaeguTec were not turn exceptional products and think about the products of the future work with the user. I therefore consider it as a very exciting industry, and I might be not be happy in it.
Do you see new challenges for the cross-border transactions?
There are always people in all countries to resist the change. It is an element in the United States and other countries, the idea to resist the more trade between the countries. I am in exactly opposite camp and believe that it will thrive as we increasingly to do business with each other. Different countries have different advantages and no country can do everything themselves.
