
Electronic Arts (ERTS) released today morning that COO John Schappert reportedly has left the company, take a senior post at Zynga. Schappert's last day at EA was yesterday.
Here, a statement by EA's Schappert's departure:
"We wish good luck to John and appreciate the contributions that he has in the past made, 22 months." EA still a deep bank executive leaders of our business field: Nancy Smith, a 25-year EA veteran, managed our global publishing business; Barry Cottle still EA interactive and our success in mobile, social and casual online gaming-to monitor; Frank Gibeau, Peter Moore and Jeff Karp lead our label company and Eric Brown as our CFO. "The leaders who contribute to digital were based to EA in a company with a new business model and services transform are this."
UBS analyst Brian Pitz writes in a research note this morning that "Zynga probably" provided John with a business, that of ERTS management could not be assigned, and adds to, that he is not a matter for the departure of a problems with the company.
Schappert joined EA in mid-2009 by Microsoft.
ERTS is morning today to 36 cents, or 1.7% to $20.18.
